Crushing Rice

It took two hours of crushing by foot to separate the rice from its cover. Seeing this was a great reminder to always appreciate the food I had on my plate.

My curiosity of Dayak Tribes, the native people of Borneo, and Long House or “Bateng” had led me to Lopus Village, Lamandau Regency, Central Kalimantan.
