As point of interest in the LP we stopped at Jomtiem, just South of Pattaya, half of the way back to Bangkok for two nights. There was nothing remarkable about Jomtiem, it consists, most interestingly, of an avenue adjacent to an average beach holding a strip of guesthouses and shops pedaling the usual tourist tat.
