D B RANDALL

Randall was the Major commanding the Brave 17 Volunteers that went to assistance of the soldiers trapped at Cottonwood House. The soldiers would not come out from their fortified positions to help the volunteers and Randall was killed in the breakout attempt. The volunteers were put under siege on some high ground that later became known as Mount Misery.
