Thursday We had an interesting tour of Lima starting with a visit to the fruit and vegetable market where we were introduced to a startling array of new fruits including red bananas. We continued with a visit to the Monasrerio de San Francisco which included a tour of the catacombs including the display of many bones and skulls. Apparently 45,000 bodies had been buried there.
