Wednesday 17th January 2007 We drove down to Ayr to go wreck diving on the S.s Yongala. You can go from Townsville, but it is 3 hours there on the boat and we were heading south anyway. AS it happens it was a good job we didn't have to spend 6 hours on the boat. We took 30 minutes to get to the dive site from Ayr and in that time most of us were feeling really ill. I had been on holidays to Europe and a bit further afield, but never done the proper 'Round the World' backpacking adventure. I started planning for that very event in 2004.
