What a night we had at the concrete wall at the mouth if Balsam Lake. First a thunderstorm woke us up in the wee hours of the morning then the mosquitoes nearly bled us dry. Pete and Allen did not sleep a wink on their boat so by 5:30 in the morning, they cast off and crossed Balsam Lake to Rosedale Lock. Jerry slept through it all.
