Future Birthplace of Captain Kirk in Star Trek

In an episode of Star Trek Captain Kirk mentions that he was born in Iowa. A Star Trek fan in Riverside in Iowa thought why not make that small town my town. He erected a memorial over a the Future Birthplace of Captain Kirk (he will be born in the year 2225).
