We discovered that it rains in Hawaii, in fact it once rained for 42 days! But a light sprinkling did not spoil our tour of the island of Oahu where the capital Honolulu stands and the famous Waikiki beach. The island was formed by violent volcanic eruptions and we drove round the Diamond Head crater to see for ourselves.
