Sweet stopover!
A room with a view and a pool sounds perfect in Peten's wilting heat. But that buffet--oh my, how to choose. Good thing you could get several treats and share, not to mention that they had horchata--one of my favorite drinks ever! While I'm not a fan of early mornings, brilliant to head to Tikal to try to beat the heat!

The hotel was really lovely, but sadly we were only there for one night. Horchata is fast becoming my favourite too, but I probably should be trying a whole heap more stuff before I pick a favourite :)
