I included this photo to highlight the comfort Asians in general feel with one another. Men walking hand in hand is a common enough sight in many Asian countries, with no fears of misinterpretation, just friendship. Similarly, I frequently see male friends sitting closely, sprawled over one another even, simply because it probably hasn't occured to them that small-minded people might label them certain ways.
