Tigre is an easy day trip from Buenos Aires. You can take the train from Retiro or from Belgrano as we did. We took the bus to the Belgrano train station, closer to our apartment than Retiro. Also the train only goes to Tigre so no need to find the right train. We used our SUBU card to pay for the train but if you do not have one they have a ticket booth.
