Keeping the faith in Kochi

Good karma in Kochi!
A puppy from the past, fab food, friends, a matrilineal aristocracy and adventures--you certainly know how to have a splendid time! Little Honey/Peter was a honey, and you two are the best food photographers ever (I was salivating with all your ginger, coconut and aubergine)! Those thali meals look fab since you get to sample so many different items though I can imagine a nap would be necessary after eating it all. I also so appreciate when you translate the food items for those of us who've not been to India yet. Amazing the piles of spices from the original plants rather then the piles of ground spices I've found elsewhere. I imagine the fab food and traditions in Kochi and Kerala may be the result of that very interesting mingling of cultures--a call to prayer, Jewtown, St Cruz Cathedral, and the spice route--sounds delicious already! I once tried and failed a 6-hour (short) version of the Mahabharata. Bravo to you two for enduring two hours of eyebrow-raisings and gestures. It sounds as if India is already a winner for you.
