great Thangka

Every year at Shoton, a massive Thangka is unveiled on the hills of both Drepung and Sera monasteries, both historical greats in Tibetan buddhism. I haven\'t a clue how long it takes to craft such an enormous work of art. But do make a comparison of size of people to thangka, and imagine hand-stitching it in such intricacy!
