The mosquitoes woke us up at 3:00 this morning. We were up for an hour killing hundreds of them in the boat, some had feasted while we slept. Not sure where they came from but they were there in droves. We had a thunderstorm last night and we kept going out to check the lines, they must have come in then. We are newly retired and ready to cruise! Our 32 foot Cape Island trawler, North Star, will be our summer cruiser in Canada and our 44 foot Marine Trader, Hemingway, is our warm climate cruiser, presently in Florida. Our land home is a small cottage outside of Lewisporte, Newfoundland, Canada.
