Riviere-au-Tonnerre June 28th 2013 We had a rolly, rocky day on the water yesterday on a cool overcast day. We managed lo log 80 miles in 9 and a half hours to reach the village of Riviere-au-Tonnerre. The entrance was well marked directing us to a fishing wharf. We tied up with the fishing boats, North Star blended right in.

We are newly retired and ready to cruise!
Our 32 foot Cape Island trawler, North Star, will be our summer cruiser in Canada and our 44 foot Marine Trader, Hemingway, is our warm climate cruiser, presently in Florida.
Our land home is a small cottage outside of Lewisporte, Newfoundland, Canada. We hope to join cruising regattas organized by the Lewisporte Yacht Club members as they explore the Bay of Exploits, some of the best northern cruising grounds.
