We spent a day travelling around the area close to Cairo. First we saw the Giza plateau with its majestic pyramids and the mysterious sphinx. At the back of sphinx there are signs of water erosion, from prolonged exposure to rain, since there has not been rain in this area for 9000 years the dating of the sphinx needs to be re-examined.
