My adventure started off with a five hour layover turning into a seven hours layover. With the help from Maximo Nivel an international culture program, On September 8th 2012 at 9:40pm my 6 month journey begins. I take flight for the city of Miami and from there to the beautiful lands of Guatemala! La Antigua, one of the most populated cities in Guatemala, will be my home. I will be staying with a local family. There I will share a room (not sure if the other person is a volunteer or a family member).
