Coming down by rail car

This is the steepest rack railway in the world and runs directly from the top of Mount Pilatus to the base at Alpnachstad. The journey up is half-an-hour while the journey down takes a cautious forty minutes

Lucerne We were up nice and early as we planned to journey up to the top of Mount Pilatus. I was really disappointed as it was grey and very foggy and I figured we wouldn't be able to see anything.
