Galata Bridge & Tower and surrounding area October 1st 2010 We decided to go across the river to explore the other side of Istanbul. We walked to the Galata bridge. You can walk under the bridge to the other side or you can walk across the bridge itself. It takes about 10 minutes to get to the other side.
