March 2nd 2012 We take a long, hot walk to see the elusive blue footed Boobie birds. Alas, we see only one and it is perched high on a rock too far away to see its feet. On my last sailing trip from California to Hawaii, we had a red footed Boobie sit on the end of the boom for 24 hours when we were still three days out from land. Its feet were bright red.
