What it Costs to Live in Santiago, Chile, for a Gringo/Gringa

Everyday is a shock when it comes to the local prices for, well nearly everything. Part of the problem is my unwarranted expectations that living in a Latin American country is cheaper than it is in the US. Where did I get this? From Mexico and Costa Rica.
