TAUPO!!! Day 1 Labour day = public holiday, therefore a trip up to Taupo was on the cards! Karen, nominated team leader, sorted out the trip. Two new volunteers Yvonne and Adrian joined too. Hello! Well, the time has come to embark on an adventurous journey (or, in other words, ‘prolong the being in denial about the real working world’ journey!). Yes, Han has already decided to take a career break after working for just a year since finishing uni last summer! I leave on the 27th September ’06, away from home and comfort zone, to do some conservation work in New Zealand and South Africa for 6 months (with a stop in Aus on route).
