21-8-11 Travelled to Lion’s Den Hotel at Helensvale today & booked into the camping area behind the pub, $26 a night with power, water & showers. We went to Cooktown for groceries & fuel, $1.47 for petrol & 99c for auto gas. We then went back to Lion’s Den for lunch, a very old pub built in 1875 with lots of character.
