Potala palace

scene from many places in Lhasa, this is said to be the heart of Tibet. Along the front walk, pilgrims thrust themselves to the ground in reverence. This prostration is seen all over Lhasa, Tibet too likely. It is most poetic with the Palace as a backdrop.

A morning prowling around led me through non-touristed alleys of shops selling daily goods like yak butter, and on to the University of Tantric studies.
