The circle closes. We find ourselves back where we started, in the Plaza de Mayo, this time on Flag Day, Dia de la Bandera. A small body of soldiers stand to attention, watched by a clutch of portenos in smart overcoats and a few curious tourists with cameras. A bugle sounds as wreaths are laid at the memorial.
