After a long and windy hilly ride Michael burnt out a local who turned out to be a saviour and showed us a flat ( though a little boring route into troyes via a canal route ). The challenge The aim for the intrepid team is to cycle from Ashtead pond in Surrey to Lake Annecy in the French Alps, a distance of around 600 miles. The leaving date is Sunday 1st May 2011 and we hope to arrive on Wednesday 11th May, returning home by train (after some well earned beers) on Saturday 14th.
