Finally a day that was not raining and although cool, the weather was nice enough to be outside. None of us felt like a simple hike at the state park that we always go to so we decided to go to the Kansas City Zoo instead. I like things to be simple. I’m not into fancy hotels or dining at expensive restaurants. I’d be much happier pitching a tent and cooking burgers over an open fire than doing those things. Being outdoors is a way to find contentment that cannot be found in the hustle of our daily lives.
