Well here we are, after many months of training and planning we are finally ready.. Paul is biting at the bit to get on his saddle and cant wait to get to those mountains. Colin will probably still be doing up his laces on the day and trying very hard not to think about any hills let alone The Alps. The challenge The aim for the intrepid team is to cycle from Ashtead pond in Surrey to Lake Annecy in the French Alps, a distance of around 600 miles. The leaving date is Sunday 1st May 2011 and we hope to arrive on Wednesday 11th May, returning home by train (after some well earned beers) on Saturday 14th.
