A tortoise in the wild

After the tortoises are 5 years old they are released into the wild to survive. We visited the reserve land where they are living on their own. This dude is probably only about 50 years old. They live until 150? 200? No one really knows.

Hello to Everyone. The Galapagos Islands are 1000km from the Ecuadorian mainland and are otherworldly! Almost like going back in time to the prehistoric period, the wildlife is so strangely tame - it is almost surreal. Most of the flora and fauna are endemic to the islands too.
