Salta was our first taste of Argentina and we were very pleasantly surprised by it. We had expected it to be beautiful and sunny but not too hot which it was (because of the altitude) but were surprised by how nice the town was, it is made of wide leafy streets with very nice houses, a grand main square and lots of sophisticated, aflluent shops and people, distinctly different to Bolivia.
