week number 3 August 28th 2006 I can't believe I'm going into my 3rd week here, it feels I arrived just yesterday. We had a really good weekend at the beach, all 13 of us volunteers were there, in a place just an hour from our village, called Kokrabite. My name's laura, I'm 19 and from Christchurch, New Zealand. For the past 3 years I've been travelling around, doing voluntary work and getting jobs as a chef. The past 6 months I've been working in London, and tonight, I'm flying out to Accra, Ghana, to spend a month volunteering in the Liberian Buduburam refugee camp. I'm not entirely sure what I'll be doing, I think a mixture of teaching, looking after kids and working with UNHCR in peace cells, trying to get the people to reconcile with each other, so they can return to Liberia in peace.
