Sweating in Siem Reap

We arrived in Siem Reap at 8am local time and it was already 27 degrees. We knew it would be hot at this time of the year but the reality has been blistering. Visa on arrival went very smoothly and the airport is gorgeous. Before we knew it we were out the front and the driver from the Tanei Guesthouse had a sign with our name. We are a family of four from Perth Western Australia about to head off on a family trip for 3 months backpacking around Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand. I have finally earnt my Long Service Leave from my work and the kids are at a great age to take a break from school.
