On our second day in Seoul, we made it over to Deoksugung Palace to catch the changing of the guards ceremony- a much flashier ordeal than the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace. Here the guards stand around in the 40 degree heat in long, colourful robes and fake, glued-on beards. They play drums, march around the block, and yell.
