Before you hear about the splendid Tuscany countryside and our adventures there; I must share what I will call "obtaining our rental car experience". After a quick walk over to the Vatican post office to mail post cards our last morning in Rome, we were ready to be driven back to the airport to pick up the car. Buff & I are on our postponed 25th wedding anniversary present to ourselves, three week trip to Great Britain with a quick two night side adventure through the Chunnel to Paris. After months of Buff traveling for business(every 2 weeks out of 3 he was in China or India) during which time we poured over the Lonely Planet Great Britain book and dreamed of the places we would see and planned an itinerary (somewhat, we wanted flexibility to do whatever we wanted, but some genealogy "work" too, we left California on Sept. 10, 2005.... full info
