Pipe dreams

At the stop where we changed busses on the way to the terraces, these people would take a larger piece of sod, place a pipe over it and whack the pipe until it cut a piece of sod about the size of a hamburger patty. This was repeated until the pipe was full. The patties were forced out and the process repeated.

Where are we? As I publish this entry, I am sitting at my desk on Pender Island, Canada and Dianne is sitting at hers in Dalian, China.
