Cusco, Machu Picchu, and escaping disasters

We made it to Cusco Wednesday the 20th of January. Cusco is a lovely town and a very nice place to spend a few days or longer. Well, normally. We spent our first day visiting local museums and churches and arranging for tours for the coming days.
