Sabbatical director for week 1 John Murray had me at work on the Tues after arrival in Bangkok. Joined Serge, a Maryknoll volunteer from Haiti teaching an English class to Buddhist monks who have come out of Myanmar. They had some v interesting stories as they are from the Shan hilltribe ethnic minority who have escaped into Thailand. Teaching them English is one of the ways forward for them. One ... read more
