Before we left the North Island we completed the best tramp in New Zealand... the Tongoriro Alpine Pass. This trail took us to the base of Ngauruhoe Mountain (AKA Mount Doom). It was a spectacular 19.4 (!) km hike. We hope the pictures entice you to come to NZ soon! ... read more
