The ruins actually had been discovered by accident and were buried underground. They beleive that there is actually a lot more to be uncovered under the modern city.

Our first stop in Jordan was the desert castles. The first castle we saw was Qasr-Al-Harrana. According to posted signs it was most likely one of the first inns of the Islamic period.
