This morning I got up early and ditched my overpriced hotel that was too far from the beach. The whole island was so quiet and still I couldn't believe it. Like night and day difference from Bangkok. Most shops and cafes aren't 24 hours here the way they are in Bangkok. I didn't see a single other traveller on the road which was disconcerting at first but then kind of nice.
