Volcano Climb in Antigua

This was a 2.5 hour climb up an active volcano near Antigua. What an experience. On the way our guide points to hardened lava to the right, "20 anos." Oh okay, 20 years old, cool. To the left, "2 anos." Damn, that´s pretty recent. Little did we know that by the time we got near the top the whole expanse we were at the moment walking over was, ¨yesterday.¨ That´s when many in the group got freaked out. You could see, and FEEL the lava under the damn rock plates that you walked on. At the top we were treated to incredible views of flowing lava 2 feet from you. Just an incredible experience.

hello, Arrive on 10/17. Sorry the last Europe updates sucked, but I was burned out on it and just looking forward to Central America. As you will see by the pictures, Guatemala was incredible.
