After our long 10 hour flight I met Laura and Joe (two others from my tour!) at baggage reclaim and we made our way to the taxi rank. Driving in to Beijing is pretty impressive- the road is about 5 lanes wide, dead straight, newly resurfaced and there are sky scrapers and trees lining the sides.
