The beauty of the day and the scenery beckoned Jessie and I to enjoy a horseback exploration of the area. We serenaded our Kazak guide with American songs ("Sound of Music" genre and some Kelly Clarkson), then he indulged us with a Kazak folk song.

Some say everyday is a gift. If so, these 11 days in Xinjiang were gifts wrapped in quality colorful Hallmark paper with the extra curly bows on top. Yes, the weather was good.
