Blue Mosque

The mosque ıs named for the blue Iznik tiles that cover the interior. The Blue Mosque has six minarets which at the time of construction only the mosque at Mecca had minarets. The thought of rivaling with Mecca was considered heretical and later a seventh minaret was added.

We stayed ın İstanbul from September 19th thru October 1st the average temperature durıng the day was around 24°C or 75 °F. Durıng the nıght, temperatures were around 20 °C or 68 °F.
