day one, Inland Empire to Oakland

July 30th 2009
We hit the road at 6 a.m., heading from our house in Upland to the 210 Freeway, west to Interstate 5, then north. Stopped at Ft. Tejon State Historic Park so Molly could do her dog stuff walking around. We paid our $2 entry fee, strolled the grounds, read the plaques, saw a jackrabbit and two squirrels who got Molly's adrenaline up on alert.
