Cusco was originally the capital of the Incan empire, and today is a lovely colonial town to relax and get used to the altitude. It's hard to describe how the thin air affects you here, simply climbing a flight of steps can leave you breathless. Vinny suffered a bit at the start but the local remedy of coca tea seemed to help.
