A Hero for Prague

This is the grave of Jan Palac. In protest of the 1968 Red Army occupation of Prague, Jan Palac doused himself with petrol on the steps of the National Museum in the city center and set himself on fire. 200,000 people gathered at the spot on the following day to air their grief and anger.
