Los Angeles, CA- Geek tour - Tar Pits/Getty Villa
June 9th 2009 Day One:
Left Long Beach around 11:30 AM and arrived at La Brea Tar Pits at around 12:30. Took the 405. I won’t miss L.A. traffic, that’s for sure. I had never been to the tar pits before. I was amazed by the sheer volume and quality of the skeletons on display- from saber-tooth cats to giant sloths, mastodons, wolves and even camels and lions.
