We spent May 28, 29 and 30th in Shanghai. We chose to stay at the Ramada Plaza Hotel from reviews in a guidebook and online and were very pleased with the choice. It is not actually part of the US Ramada chain any longer and is actually much nicer than US Ramadas. My family currently lives in a small rural town in North Carolina, USA. In May 09, our 9yo daughter and I first traveled to China with my husband for his work . We returned home and traveled to Alaska for 3 weeks to visit my sister and her husband. In Sept 09, we returned to China for our second trip, and will be returning again.
