Oaxaca is a picturesque colonial town, it has several churches, markets and squares surrounded by typical Mexican buildings and cafes. When we were there the main square was full of Christmas poinsettias which seemed strange in the heat. During our short stay we went to visit the nearby Mayan temples of Monte Alban.
